RUPEE FOR A THOUGHT

This was our last session for this year. In this session firstly madam collected as one from every student and after collecting coins our game started . In this game we had to pass purse that contain all coins and when madam put sound student that have purse 

That time should come to front of the class.after come to the front that student should make speech  according to the date that made that coin. That speech should be incident that had to face student .

Therefor this session was very interesting session for all of us.
pankajan's coin had made in 2013 So pankajan have to face that incident in 2013.During this game we can get know some of my friends interesting point of their life and some friends speech become very sad .The sad speech that present in the session is pankajan's speech . That was like the film about love.

The interesting speech presented by Dilan he talked  he had ambiguous what happened in 2012 to the world .

Finally I thanks to our lecturer Mr. SARASI SENADERA  because she teach us to lot of  soft skills in this year, so we were able to correct some weakeness .

                                                          BINGO


We were given a sheet of paper(But I couldn't able to participate this session, i wrote this blog after asked from my friend) . The paper contains 25 squares with a 'Free' square in the middle. Each square contains a condition except 'Free' square. We need to find our batch mates who have satisfied that conditions.That is the game called Bingo.

If any team can fill five squares 
        horizontally 
        vertically 
        diagonally or 
        around the free square,  That team will win the Bingo.

Our lecturer collected all the papers and marked first five papers asking the people who had been mentioned in the squares whether they had satisfied that condition or not. And she selected first five correctly answered Bingo papers as the winners.

Culture

  There were  GNCT lecture on last Thursday and we had to done the new activity name that Creative culture.So we create new culture. This activity  is a very  funny activity. As well as that is creativity, planning and teamwork.

                    First our madam gave some information of this activity, how we should do this activity.After our class divided  two group.There are eight members in one group.After our madam gave the some time for create our activity.After we have to do this activity  in front of the class.

                       our activity have song ,dance and drama. but our group did not do this activity very well.because our group did not plan before the activity and did not do the drama before the activity.But other group did this activity very well.

In this task we had to draw a chart our personal goals for next 10 years and explain  how i hope to achieve that goals. There for we draw in our goals in cardboard and explain our goals. In my goals chart  I categories my goals in to 5 goals.

            End of the lecturer we learn lot of things How to plan future goals, How to manage time,
and How to recognize our requirment .

Leadership

On 29th of November,We had an interesting session on Leadership. In this session We learned different types of leaders in world  and their qualities.We learned leadership qualities that we should improve in our lives and some life  stories of true leaders  who live and who had lived in the world.

 In this  session we identified several world famous leaders and their skills.

1).Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi 
    
  Gandhi was an Indian activist who was the leader of the Indian independence movement against British rule. 

2).Steve jobs

Steve jobs is saga is the entrepreneurial creation myth writ large: Steve Jobs cofounded Apple in his parents’ garage in 1976, was ousted in 1985, returned to rescue it from near bankruptcy in 1997, and by the time he died, in October 2011, had built it into the world’s most valuable company. 3). Nelson Mandela

Deshamanya Arjuna Ranatunga is a former Sri Lankan cricketer and 1996 Cricket World Cup winning captain for Sri Lanka.

3).Otara Gunewardene

Otara Gunewardene is a Sri Lankan entrepreneur, philanthropist, designer and fashion icon.The founder of Sri Lanka’s premier fashion and lifestyle store Odel, a brand that took Sri Lanka by storm offering designer and high street fashion for men.

How ever end of the lecture we lerned lot of things about leadership.

                          STANDING  ON THE PAPER

Last ween during our GNCT  lecture , We did funny game that called  STANDING  ON THE PAPER.

There are 7 groups participate in this game. All group had 6 OR 7 members. There were Champika , Asiri, Sahan, Sadali, Nipuni, Sampath. In this game we had to put paper on the floor and all members in each group stand on the paper.

Role of this game,

      1. Members must stand on the paper and don't touch the floor.

         2.First  team  who  tear the paper  should  lost  the  game.

         3.And after stand on the paper we must do same task that assigned  by  lecturer.

         4. we can't tear paper.

                                          LAVA RIVER

         2018.10.23   In our GNCT lecturer , we had to do funny Game name that Lav River There are 5 members in my team . Actually this Game was big challenge to us  And As well as that is creativity, planning and teamwork.

                                                    

     First our madam gave rule of this game , how we should do this activity. In this game we have to cross a lava river using four stone. We have to go from one bank to the other bank of the river using four stones. All 4 stones should have the human touch through out the process. If it lose human touch we will lose the stone and we have to cross the river with the remaining stones. And if someone step on the lava, that group have to start from the beginning. And only 3 times we can step on lava.

After we started to cross the river and our madam started to count the time which we take to cross the river. At the beginning itself we lost 2 stones .After we can't think anything. And we asked our lecture please gave us our losing stone. But our lecture did't give the stone and our time is over.So, We can't do this game.

IMAGE PUZZLE

In this game lecturer gave us to puzzle  of image that cut in small pieces and assign to collect pieces and create again  image that cut .

After cutting the board in to 95 pieces madam took 10 pieces from each group and mixed those pieces with other groups pieces. Our group also had 10 pieces from other group. Then  madam gave us our envelops which included 85 pieces from the board we cut and 10 pieces from other group

 To finish this game we had two weeks.  There are 7 members in my group and all of my team members work together  but we couldn't able to make full image . There were 5 groups in this game and any team couldn't able to finish the game . 

How ever end of this task we learn something abut  how to work as team for achieve a task and we identified our main weakness in work as a team  .  In last  few minite of this lecture Mr. sarasi said how to improve our skill.  

                                      EGG COVER

 Last week  during the  GNCT  lecture  , lecturer assigned us to do game that called EGG COVER.
In this game we had to  do make a cover for egg as don't damage to egg. after make egg cover we had to put the egg inside the cover . After  egg put inside  the cover we throw up the egg that covered .To
win the this game  Egg should not break after  collide with floor .

                                                    EXPERT GAME

In this task what we had to do was presenting a product or  a service with the talents of team members.
It was very interesting. Our team members have fantastic talents on mechanical filed and art. Someone is very good in managing a work place .someone is very good in driving and giving facilities for them
So we have created an transport service for all people who want to go any places within Sri lanka and deliver package .

            Everyone came to front of the stage and presented how they are talented in each ways. So we came to know how our friends talented.

How ever end of the this session Mr. Sarasi Senadhira explain us to how to present our talent properly

and  again explain how to work as a team ,Madam said us you should respect all team members ideas then we can present make best product.So I learnt again as previewis as  new thing in this session.

       

                                       ROUND ROBIN GAME

Last week during our GNCT lecture on 19^th  of June 2018 ,  lecturer was assigned to do a game that called Round Robin ,so in this game we have to build a story. We were divided into tree group .

There were 7 members in one group .  Firstly one members  of each group wrote one word in their group of the white board  and other one had to follow him and word one by successively. Each number of  every group got a chance of tree times to participate round robin .There were some rules in this game as well as other game , they are

      1). When one of members writing a word in the white board all of others should close eyes and                  remain silent .

      2).One member can write only once word in one time.

    Girl is wearing a frock and she is ready to go the party with her boyfriend and he calls his friend that party is going to be a birthday party which is awesome.

Finally we got a great fun this game. Also we learned how to adopt difference occasions suitably.

                                MY BEST FRIEND

                                              


MY best friend is someone special whom i can share my all feelings.
He is Hasith Bandara. He  studied at swarnajothi central college , kandy. 
we are cousin. He is son of my mother's sister.
He has one brother and one sister.He is 19 years old.
He is very entertaining , jolly and helpful in nature. He understands me
a lot and become always ready to help me in my all bad or happy conditions.
he is leadership in nature , tall , fair in colmplexion, good looking and smart.
he is very good in studies and behaves well with everyone. He does his work 
and homework very attentively.
Now we Usually meet one's a week .

The Paper Tower and the Helium Stick 

 

On the 13 th of June for our GNCT course lecturer assigned us to made a paper tower. The activity was done by 3 groups. Our Madam gave us a six different colored A4 sheets and a sellotape roll and asked us to build a tower from that given limited materials in a given time period. 
To  win the tower should be stable and should be the highest. 

At the beginning the given task was hard for all three groups. But at the end all the three groups made fine paper towers. 

There are 9 members in my team Mihidu , zeena , Tharidu , Nipuni , Anjana, Kirushanthi ,Isuru ,Printha  and  I was a one team.

       Finally one tower couldn't able to stable , so that tower fail down . but our tower and Darshana's team tower can be stable . But when compare tower height our tower regected 

Therefor finally Darshan's  team won the game.

End of the session madam asked us to tell reason for our failier , then we said we hadn'd proper plan and we couldn't able to manage time. Therefor again we learned importance of manage time.

                 Emerging Technology Trends

    Last week There was a session conducted by WSO2  (But I couldn't able to participate to the session. As my friends told , I wrote this blog) .During this session Mr. srinath perera came and teach us about emerging technology trends . Lot of software Engineering student participated the session and got some idea about Emerging Technology . Some  student asked question from theme  and  improved their knowledge.

    They have given gift for students who give correct answer for problem that asked by them in the session . If I didn't participate the session . I also got knowledge.

My friends said me , In this workshop they could know current technology as well as emerging technology. Mr. Shrinath Perera explained it well.
